Dave Moody opened Silver Reef Brewing Co. in 2019 as St. George's first microbrewery — a fact the local press called out explicitly at the time, since the city's restrictive alcohol history had kept craft brewing out longer than almost any comparably sized Western municipality. Moody built at 4391 S Enterprise Drive, on the south end of the city, a multi-format operation: brewery, distillery, and winery all under the St. George Beverage Company banner.
The production arm distributes draft beer throughout Northern and Southern Utah, packaging in 12-oz cans available at retail locations across the region. The on-site Craft & Kitchen dining room runs daily 11:30 AM to 9 PM. Small-batch spirits and Silver Reef Winery wines round out the portfolio. For a city that came late to craft brewing, Silver Reef built fast — operating at a scale and diversification that most regional craft producers don't reach in their first decade.
