Scott Williams graduated with a degree in Outdoor Recreation and spent the next decade guiding in Colorado, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Montana before landing in Zion. After nine years working for an established Springdale outfitter, he launched Zion Guide Hub in 2012 under his own LLC — SAW Zion — as his own operation. In 2016 he purchased Zion Cycles and expanded the guiding business into a storefront model, pairing guided adventures with bike rentals and a physical anchor on Zion Park Blvd.
Zion Guide Hub guides canyoneering, rock climbing, mountain biking, gravel biking, and hiking in and around the park. Williams has lived in the Zion corridor for over 20 years; his staff guides are local residents with multi-season knowledge of the technical terrain on the park's flanks and the BLM land surrounding it. The operation is permitted with land managers to operate commercially across the park and adjacent public lands — in 2022 it received the National Public Lands Alliance Commercial Partnership Award, a recognition specific to outfitters whose relationship with park stewardship goes beyond compliance.
The shop is at 868 Zion Park Blvd, 1.5 miles from the park entrance, with daily guide meetups beginning at 7 AM.
