CasaBlanca Golf Club sits on the south side of Mesquite, a few minutes east of I-15, on the property of the CasaBlanca Resort and Casino. Cal Olson routed the eighteen in 1996 — the original Mesquite resort course, predating Wolf Creek by four years and Conestoga by thirteen — and the layout has stayed the anchor of the lower-elevation Mesquite golf inventory since.

Olson's Routing Through the Wetlands

Olson built the course around the natural wetlands and water features that exist on the property — the Virgin River drainage runs nearby, and several of the holes use the wetland framing as both visual interest and strategic challenge. Bent-grass greens, rye-grass fairways, white-sand bunkers, and lakes that come into play on roughly a third of the holes. From the championship tees the course stretches to 7,036 yards at par 72.

A Resort Model, A Casino Across the Parking Lot

CasaBlanca is one of the few golf courses in the 435 / Mesquite footprint where the on-property dining and lodging includes a casino. The CasaBlanca Resort and Casino runs the standard Vegas-feeder model — gaming floor, hotel rooms, multiple restaurants, the kind of full-service property that is rare on the Utah side of the state line. The golf course operates as one piece of the resort's amenity stack.

The Mesquite Inventory in Context

Mesquite has four major public-access courses: CasaBlanca, Falcon Ridge, Wolf Creek, and Conestoga. CasaBlanca is the original resort course, the one with the longest operating history. Wolf Creek is the dramatic-canyon course that gets the photography. Falcon Ridge is the short desert layout north of town. Conestoga is the Troon-managed Sun City course.

For visitors building a multi-day card, CasaBlanca pairs naturally with Falcon Ridge as the lower-elevation "morning round" tier; Wolf Creek and Conestoga are the destination-tier afternoons. The drive from St. George Regional Airport to CasaBlanca runs about 35 minutes south on I-15 — closer than several of the Washington County courses on the north side of the city.
