WillowWind RV Park sits on State Street in Hurricane, just off Highway 9 between the freeway and the Hurricane Cliffs. The park is the mid-tier Hurricane option — full hookups, paved access, in-park pool, and a price tier that runs roughly half what the Sand Hollow Resort RV Park charges for similar amenities. For travelers staging Zion, Sand Hollow, or the Hurricane Cliffs trail system without bringing a high-end toy hauler, WillowWind is the standard pick.

The Hurricane Mid-Tier

Hurricane has accumulated a cluster of private RV parks over the past decade as the OHV and Zion-tourist economy has grown. WillowWind fits in the middle of that cluster — better infrastructure than the older budget parks, lower price than Sand Hollow Resort, central enough to use as a base for the whole 435 reach. The park accommodates trailer-and-toy-hauler combinations but doesn't market exclusively to OHV traffic.

What's Included

Full hookups on most sites, 30 and 50-amp electric depending on the site, paved pads on the newer loops, gravel on the older. Bathhouses with hot showers, laundry on site, swimming pool open seasonally. Dump station for non-hookup units. The park's office handles propane refills and ice. Cell signal is reliable across all carriers.

Reservation Pattern

Direct booking via the park's website or by phone. Spring break and the OHV jamboree weekends are the peaks. Summer is busier than winter but Hurricane's heat keeps it slightly off the absolute peak. Winter sees the most availability and the lowest rates.

What's at Hand

Hurricane proper is two minutes for full grocery, gas, and restaurants. Sand Hollow State Park is fifteen minutes east via Highway 9. Quail Creek is ten minutes north on the freeway. The Hurricane Cliffs mountain biking trail system is fifteen minutes south. Zion is forty-five minutes east. St. George is twenty minutes west.

For OHV-related needs, several Hurricane outfits rent side-by-sides and quads within a five-minute drive. The Hurricane gas stations carry OHV-friendly hours.

Comparison to Other Hurricane RV Parks

Hurricane's RV-park cluster includes Sand Hollow Resort RV Park (premium, $60–$120), WillowWind (mid-tier, $40–$70), Hurricane Sands RV Resort (mid-tier), and several smaller older operations at the budget end. WillowWind's positioning is "decent infrastructure at a fair price" rather than "destination resort." For travelers using Hurricane purely as a base — drive in late, drive out early, sleep with hookups in between — WillowWind works well. For travelers wanting an in-park amenity-rich experience, Sand Hollow Resort is the upgrade.

If WillowWind is full, Hurricane Sands and Sand Hollow Resort are the immediate alternatives. The Hurricane and St. George RV-park cluster has roughly a dozen options within a fifteen-minute drive.
