J&J RV Park sits on the north side of Kanab, on a quiet residential block near the city's small grid. The park is the simpler, lower-priced alternative to Kanab RV Corral — fewer amenities (no pool), smaller site count, but full hookups, paved access, and the same proximity to downtown that drives most Kanab travelers' staging decisions.
The Smaller Kanab Park
J&J's positioning is the budget-conscious end of Kanab's RV-park cluster. The 30 or so sites are arranged on a smaller property than Kanab RV Corral's. Full hookups on most sites, 30 and 50-amp electric, paved pads. The bathhouse with showers and the on-site laundry handle the basics. There's no pool, no clubhouse, no destination-resort feel — this is a clean, functional RV park at a fair price for what's included.
Reservation Pattern
Direct booking via the park's website or by phone. The Kanab summer peak (slot canyons, Wave lottery, Best Friends traffic) drives demand from late spring through early fall. Winter sees lower demand and lower rates. Mid-week availability is generally broader than at the larger parks.
For travelers who don't need a pool and a clubhouse, J&J's lower price tier and smaller scale work well.
What's at Hand
From J&J, downtown Kanab (Center Street) is a five to ten minute walk or a couple of minutes by car. The Center Street restaurant cluster, Willow Canyon Outdoor, the BLM Kanab Field Office (Wave lottery, Buckskin Gulch permits), and the Maverick gas station are all within a short reach.
Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is fifteen minutes north. Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is twenty-two miles northwest via Hancock Road. The Toadstool Hoodoos, Buckskin Gulch, and Wire Pass trailheads are an hour east on Highway 89. The Wave (Coyote Buttes North) requires the daily lottery at the BLM office.
Comparison
Versus Kanab RV Corral: J&J is smaller, simpler, lower price, no pool. For travelers who want the basics at a fair price, J&J is the better deal.
Versus the Kanab hotel cluster: J&J is the option for travelers with their own RV; hotels are the conventional alternative.
Versus dispersed BLM camping outside Kanab: J&J offers full hookups and bathhouse access for a fee; BLM dispersed offers no infrastructure for free.
If J&J is full, Kanab RV Corral is the immediate in-town alternative, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is the next developed option, and the smaller older Kanab RV operations handle additional overflow.
