The people who built ROAM Outdoor Adventure Co. did not come from outside Southern Utah to start a tour business. The brand site is clear about it: "Founded by locals who know and love this area, who grew up exploring the red hills around Kanab." They operate four adventure sites across the Kane County corridor — Kanab, Orderville (East Zion), Grand Staircase–Escalante, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes — and a fifth location near Bryce Canyon is open. The range is unusual for a locally-owned operation. Most guides in this part of Utah pick a canyon and work it. ROAM works the whole southern plateau.

Tours run from Orderville's East Zion base into terrain that most visitors to the park's South Entrance never see: the wide canyon country east of the park boundary, the Vermilion Cliffs, White Pocket, the Wave approach, Buckskin Gulch. Activities include guided UTV tours, horseback rides, canyoneering and rappelling, via ferrata routes, Jeep and Gladiator rentals, and guided hiking. The equipment is new — 2026 Polaris RZR machines, recent model Jeeps — and the guiding is by people who have spent their lives in the terrain, not seasonal hires who read the trail notes last month.

TripAdvisor gave ROAM its Travelers' Choice Award in 2023 and the "best of the best" designation across four consecutive years. In a market crowded with Kanab adventure operators, that kind of sustained review performance is signal.
